Greetings Everyone,
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a very joyous Summer,
which is just upon us.
There are lots of exciting things happening that I would like to bring you up
to date on.
AquaRadio launches on July 4th. AquaRadio has been in the works for a few
months and now all of the new hardware
and software has arrived and is currently being installed and tested. We will
be presenting a weekly show which will cover
various topics relevant to fishkeeping, the latest news in our hobby, as well
as some of the most knowledgeable guest
speakers in the aquarium field, today.
Our new website is under construction and is on schedule to be completed
before our first broadcast. Our list of potential
guest speakers is growing daily and new ideas and features for the programming
are being discussed and finalized.
We maintain a separate mailing list for the station, in order to assure that
you are only receiving email messages that are
relevant to your interest.
Although it's best to sign-up for the newsletter, I can tell you that our
first guest on the show will be Mr. Mark Denaro, whom
many of you know as the current President of the IBC (International Betta
Congress) as well as the proprietor of Anubias Design,
a highly respected importation company of exotic tropical fish and plants from
around the world. Mark will be speaking about the IBC
Convention and the collection and importation of rare betta species. His
extensive background in various aspects of the hobby,
gives him a unique perspective that is bound to be of great interest to all
aquarium enthusiasts, regardless of which species
they keep.
To stay fully informed of the scheduled shows, including dates and times,
speakers and topics, please subscribe to our AquaRadio
Remember, we never reveal your email address to
anyone, for any reason. That's a promise.
NEW SPONSORS
I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome and introduce you to our newest
sponsors. The first is Christian Moscarell. Chris runs
Amazon Tropicals and has been keeping and breeding tropical fish for almost 30
years. He is formally employed by one of the
country's largest waste-water treatment companies where he has acquired vast
knowledge in the science of water pre treatment.
During his 15 years, working in conjunction with manufacturers to perfect
water treatment standards for specific applications, he
has been able to translate much of this knowledge into his aquarium keeping
skills, affording him the opportunity to create an array
of different biotypes for the myriad type of fishes that he keeps and breeds
Chris currently maintains 66 aquariums ranging in size from 15-150 gallons in
his fish room. Most of his tanks are planted biotopes
that house single species. He is an accomplished and respected breeder of
South American dwarf Cichlids, Discus, domestic and wild
Angelfish, Corydoras and southeast Asian torrent Loaches. He has the proud
distinction of being the first person to breed
Schistura cf.
balteata in captivity.
I can personally attest to the dedication that Chris employs and for the
quality of his livestock. I keep many specie of fish that I have
obtained from Chris. Their vigor and beauty are unmatched. You would be smart
to acquire some of his excellent stock and discover
for yourself the quality level of his fish. I can assure you that you will not
be disappointed.
Here is the list of this month's specials that Chris is offering along with 2

Our next new sponsor is Mark Robinson, better known to most of us as RMC-Aquatic.
Mark also runs What's Up Aquatics and you
I have done many trades with Mark, for plants and fish and have always been
very please with what he has sent me. He is also
quite willing to go the extra mile to find what you are looking for if he does
not have it in stock. I suggest you give his stuff a try.
Being a dedicated hobbyist and purveyor of
aquatic flora and fauna, you can expect only the best when you purchase
from RMC Aquatics. Most of our fish inventory is
wild-caught and imported from the most reputable exporters in the field.
This assures that our current stock is what is
being collected around the world, at that time. I personally inspect each bag
upon arrival and immediately begin a rigorous
acclimation and conditioning regimen to assure that every fish that leaves
my facility is in excellent health and vigor. We
ship to all areas of the U.S. and all shipments carry a "live-arrival"
guarantee.
RMC Aquatics is also a distributor for Florida
Aquatic Nurseries. We are in the process of adding their complete list of
aquarium and pond plants to our web site. If you
do not see what you are looking for, please feel free to ask and we will
make every effort to promptly acquire it for you.
If you would like to share your aquatic
experiences or just chat with fellow hobbyist, check-out our new web site at:
I look forward to serving you, soon. - Mark
